Matsyafed is a mission constituted under specific aims and pragmatic visions for the progress of the forsaken fisher folk community in the state. Since the inception in 1984, the mission has been scaling new heights by assuring the well being of traditional fisher folk. It keeps on ensuring the empowerment of the community through employment schemes and adopting an approach of 4 wheel drive policy of credit, marketing, infrastructure development and capacity building. the entire network of the state level federation of 653 primary societies immerse in sincere efforts to transform the life of entire fishermen community.
